Magical-Mythical Networks

The project investigated the religious practices around Benjamin’s plateau, current Israel/Palestine, in the Iron Age I-IIA (c. 1125-875), analyzing the material, visual and textual (epigraphic and literary) data to create the first micro-religious history of the probable place of origin of the “ancient Israel.” The resulting 2019 dissertation was awarded the Prêmio Capes de Tese 2020 as the best out of 115 dissertations in religious studies and theology and the Grande Prêmio Capes de Tese Bertha Koiffmann Becker as the best out of 10’790 dissertations in humanities.
