I am excited to announce my participation in the XXXIII Colloquium Biblicum, which will take place from April 8-10, 2026, in Prague. The event will be hosted at the Faculty of Protestant Theology of Charles University and will focus on the theme "Image, Image-Making and the Creation of (Un)Likeness".

Last week, from September 8–12, the “International Summer School: Iconography of the Ancient World” took place in Wuppertal, Germany.

Na última semana, passei três dias em São Paulo para dois eventos de lançamento do meu livro “O Código Devorado: os usos da iconografia antigo-oriental na exegese bíblica” (Editora Recriar, 2025).

Meu livro "O código devorado: os usos da iconografia antigo-oriental na exegese bíblica" foi publicado pela Editora Recriar. Ele traduz à língua brasileira minha tese de livre-docência aceita na Faculdade de Teologia da Universidade de Berna.

The book "Challenging Dichotomies and Biases in the Study of the Ancient Southern Levant," which I co-edited with Bruno Biermann, Fabio Porzia, and Christoph Uehlinger, was recently published by Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht.

I am happy, grateful, and humbled to have completed yesterday my habilitation procedure in Protestant Theology (Old Testament with a focus on ancient Israel and its neighboring cultures) at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Bern.
